This is a free entry contest for visual and graphic artists.

Indie Searchlight is taking it a step further, including our artists, readers, and fans in our webzine like never before.
 
While we're happy with our design, we want to keep change going. As such we're inviting graphic artists to come up with a new banner/header for Indie Searchlight. The winning banner will be the new header for all Indie Searchlight and credit will be given to the artist online (in fact we encourage you to include your own trademark/signature in the image).

Prizes :
            First Place: Entry will be the new header appearing on every Indie Searchlight Page. The winner will also receive a feature for other works, a free professionally created portfolio with six months of hosting, a certificate to commemorate their achievement, and a year subscription to the webzine with special discounts on entry fees for other contests, and for Indie Searchlight merchandise.

            Second Place: Entry will be featured on a special page for Indie Searchlight contest news, contestants will receive a commemorative certificate, 6 month subscription to the zine, and a one time 10% discount off Indie Searchlight Merchandise purchase in the upcoming store.

            Third Place: Entry will be featured on a special page for Indie Searchlight contest news, contestants will receive a commemorative certificate, 3 month subscription to the zine, and a one time 10% discount off Indie Searchlight Merchandise purchase in the upcoming store.

            Honorable Mention 4th-10th Place: These entries will be featured on our contests news pages and credit given to the artist.

Rules and Guidelines:

1. Indie Searchlight is NOT responsible for any copyright infringement, obtaining, or supply for entries into this contest. Indie Searchlight's compensation for use of the winning entries will be the sole contents of the prize packages outlined above.
2. The images used must be created by the artist. If you're manipulating stock images, you must include permissions from the owner of the stock image with your submission.
3. Keep with the theme! Ideally Indie Searchlight would be the focus point. A searchlight, a lighthouse, with an independent twist. Get creative but keep it focused to our Title.
4. Multiple entries are accepted. Multiple entries should be sent in one email to the contests address. To ensure that we've received the entries, you will receive a confirmation email to the address you provide.
5. Entering into this contest gives Indie Searchlight permission to use your images and release your pen name as part of promotional materials for the site.
6. First Place Winner relinquishes image to Indie Searchlight for ownership for a period of one year at which time they will either renegotiate fees for the image or relinquish control of copyright back to the artist. Prize package will constitute compensation for the use of the image in all subsequent Indie Searchlight productions, banners, letterhead, and other electronic and print stationery.
7. Entries will be received as either JPEG or PNG files as attachments to an email giving  the following information on the contestant:

• Full Name
• Pen Name (if any)
• Contact information including address, telephone number, and email
• Age and Date of Birth. (You MUST be 18 or older to participate)
• Short Bio of the artist
• Statement that you agree to the terms and conditions of Entry Copy and Paste from below.
